Formaggio Grill in Kailua was the venue for a tweetup a few weeks ago.  The lights are dimmed to near darkness and guests are blindfolded with fitted masks.  The appeal is that by removing your sense of sight, your other senses of taste, smell, touch, and hearing become enhanced during your meal.

I wasn’t a dining guest, but a viewer of the live stream of their experience.  After watching, I’m curious to find out if my other senses are truly enhanced.

Amazingly, no one spilled any drinks, even as they tried their food it seemed they were at ease and not struggling to direct their fork to their mouths.  I could tell that the diners were struggling to identify each dish with only their sense of smell, taste, and touch; however one thing was certain as I watched online, they all enjoyed the food and experience.
